A Day on the Farm

We visited Deanna Rose Farm with Grandpa Kenny and Grandma Beth. Venna had such a good time because there was so much to do.

Milking a fake cow.

Jonah liked the cows.

Feeding a baby goat. A kid if you want to get technical.

Ugh. Fishing. This was so gross it's making me sick just thinking about it a week later. In that silver bucket was a pile of worms. Josh was in charge of baiting the hook. The first worm got stolen by a sly fish. With the next two worms Venna and Josh caught two little greenish-yellow fish. Disgusting. The fish didn't even have the sense to flip around and try to get back in the water. I'm going to throw up just thinking ab0ut it.

Venna, Josh, and Jonah enjoying a hayride. Venna also got to ride a pony on a trail. She and Jonah got to mine for precious rocks, too.
I almost forgot. The heat index for this day was 110 degrees! In Utah you can feel the sun beating on you, baking you, broiling your skin. In Missouri it's different. Kind of like boiling. Kind of like a sauna. I've been trying to think of an explanation for almost a month now and I don't have one yet. It eludes me. I'll keep thinking. For now, just know that this day was HOT!
Thanks for the fun, Grandma and Grandpa!
