water

It's been raining for 3 days. Did we move to a rainforest? Seattle? Somewhere Hurricane Ike is destroying? No. We moved to the midwest. So will it please stop raining already?!
This is not a very good picture of the crawl space under our house. I would have gone down there to get a really good one except it's scary. Oh yea, and there's about 6 inches of water. All the previous owners have thrown a lot of crap down there, the drain got clogged, and now it's flooded.
We've rented this super duper cool sump pump to get the water out. We had to rent it last Saturday, too. Like idiots we didn't unclog the drain right away. I guess we didn't think it was going to rain again so soon. Home ownership is such a big responsibility.
When we first moved in the guy across the street had to pump his basement. He wore boots. Naturally, Josh needed some, too.
Which meant that Venna needed some. You can't hold the flashlight without the proper footware.
Sadly, Jonah did not get a pair. He's not really that helpful anyway. He would have thrown the flashlight in the water. Or tried to eat it. He did a great job splashing in the puddles, though.

We played in the street for a long time.

Josh and Venna found this. In the road. Gross. We are not going to eat it.

You're not in Kansas, I mean Utah, anymore. Venna is adorable in her boots. You are too Josh. My dad would be very disappointed in you for not eating that thing.

Jonah looks so much like your Mom in that picture of him Venna and Josh. Maybe it's the way he is standing. We get rain like that in the Monsoon season, but it has no where to go and just runs down the streets until all the roads are rivers. It only lasts about a day then everything is a muddy mess.

If you were a true Johnson you would eat that!!! The Johnsons had family home evening yesterday and Hanna said she only wanted to go if Venna was going to be there. She does not quite understand that she is not here anymore!!

You found a lobster in the street. O_o

It looks like Jonah probably could have used some boots. :P

I found you! ;) Super cute blog, and I am totally with you on the rain, I was loving it at first until morning after morning it was there, and then I was sick of it! And I wish you ate that too...

Sorry about the flooding. I don't know if you know but our first apartment (the HALL) got flooded, while I was inside. It was awful. Like a horrible movie. What a trooper! And you're still hilarious.
