Servants of the Lord...and my cute kids

Tuesday night we fed the missionaries. My first time ever!! I felt so grown up. I made tacos. And kool-aid. It was a hit. Next time you feed missionaries don't forget the kool-aid.
I was pretty nervous about hostessing this event, BUT it was so much fun. Way better than feeding the missionaries in Utah. In Utah you know you'll never see the guys again so it doesn't matter what goes on during dinner. We see these missionaries every Sunday when we walk into church. These missionaries wanted to come back and play my piano again. They wanted to play basketball with Josh on p-day. I made a plan with them to come into primary and sing Called to Serve with the kids (yes, I'm working as the primary chorister AGAIN-what is with this calling?!). They were both normal! I'm flabbergasted at how well the night went.
Elder Caleb recently sent me an email telling me to do my member missionary duties. The elders inspired me to try harder.

Venna's eyes look weird in this picture. Oh well.

Venna has been cracking me up lately.

She was pretending to be a princess and she told me her dress was "tattered." Where did she learn that word?

She's been working hard on her usage of the word disgusting. She said it about 469 times yesterday. "My underwear is showing. Disgusting." "Jonah smells disgusting." And my personal favorite: "Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting" *giggle, giggle, giggle*

Josh couldn't find his cell phone all day. Finally he thought to ask Venna where it was. Her answer: "It's under my bed. I didn't want Jonah to push the buttons."

This is getting to be a long post, but I can't leave out Jonah!

He gets crazier every single day. This week something clicked in his brain. I can tell he understands a whole lot more than he used to. He gave me a kiss today without me asking for it! He wants to play Ring Around the Rosie with me all day. We've been working on blowing kisses for months and he finally got it! He waves good bye to old ladies at the grocery store. Man, I love him.

I absolutely love your kids! And way to go at having the missionaries over-I think I would be nervous about it too, so good job!

I'll bet we used the word tattered when we were princesses too.

Jonah is so funny! I'm sure all the old ladies swoon at him. A little boy in a stroller waved and said hello to me in passing at the mall a couple days ago. Even though I'm sure he does that to all the ladies, it made me feel very special.

She is just brushing up on her princess lingo!
You are getting way too domestic out there! Missionaries for dinner! Wow!

There are home videos from when we lived in Illinois of me and my sisters play with the missionaries. And by playing, I mean hitting in the head with giant pool toys. (Why did we have pool toys? We had no pool.) They came over to our house a lot. I remember one time they tried to cheer me up after my mom made me throw away my favorite blanket. (It was tattered.)

It's definitely different to have missionaries over outside of Utah.

Feeding the missionary how cool. I'm glad they showed up. Caleb must be hanging around with Jason. Jason told us we need to start praying for our own missionary experiences. He was doing good. Cute, cute Kids. It fun to see them.

We just fed the missionaries for our first time, too. Look at us all grown up and everything! Another thing missionaries like - peach cobbler! At least ours do.
