Venna's new hobby
A lady from Parents as Teachers (some kind of school funded group that checks up on your kid's development) came over and taught Venna how to "sew." Venna loved sewing so much! For her birthday, Venna got a lot of money, so we used some of it to buy "sewing" stuff.
Here she is sewing. Of course Venna was super impressed that the plastic was pink. She chose the pink yarn. I offered to let her choose more colors, but she was happy with pink on pink.
Jonah wanted to help, but I tried to keep him busy with this jumprope.
Her hand got tired so we had to stop after making the letter V out of beads. Today we're going to make the number 4. She recently turned 4 you know.
One of Jonah's hobbies is running around with a blanket on his head. Usually the blanket is covering his eyes. Venna was impressed with this biblical set up. She ran to get her own blanket and insisted that Jonah act like a boy so she could be the girl.

Sounds like me and Jill. I often insisted that she act like a boy.
You have such a talented little girl!
Jonah has great hobbies: extreme sports, the tantrum kind, and playing blind-mans-bluff (like his grandfather). How does Jonah act like a boy???
I love Venna's instructions to Jonah. So simple!
My mom tells me that I used to put a blanket over my head while she was nursing Michael. She would watch helplessly from the rocking chair while I ran into furniture and walls. When she suggested that I take the blanket off so I would stop crying from bumps on the head, I declined. I don't know if you know this, but sometimes I can be just a little bit stubborn.
So cute, I am glad that Parent's as Teachers is teaching her something fun! Sawyer is just mad everytime they leave with all the cool toys :)
