exotic getaway

Have you ever considered Omaha, Nebraska as a vacation destination?
Me neither.
BUT we heard the zoo was super awesome.
We only live 4.5 hours away.
A break from the daily grind was seriously in order.
So 4th of July weekend we packed up for an adventure.
Night #1: Cheesecake Factory, because you know we don't have one of those in The Ville.

That extra child? Our nephew Johnathan. Aunt Juju brought him to us so cousins could enjoy the zoo together. And enjoy the zoo we did!

That tree was full of fun monkeys. The water was full of a disgustingly large amount of Koi Fish.
The next 3 pictures are from the most amazing exhibit I have ever experienced called the Lied Jungle. I don't even have words to describe it. So I won't bother to try. In the last year we've been to the St. Louis Zoo, the San Diego Zoo, and this zoo. This is by far the coolest place in all 3 of those zoos.

Tucker came, too.
And then we were tired.
The next day we went to a children's museum. No pictures were taken so I won't waste your time talking about it. We also went swimming twice, jumped on hotel beds, watched HGTV, and had a fabulous time.

I'm glad Tucker came too...I was worried ;) That really looks like fun, maybe we will have to make it a destination too.
