The Visit/Birthday Party #1

My parents drove all the way to our house for a visit!! They even bought a new car for the trip. My dad bribed Venna to poop in the toilet with a Belle dress about 6 months ago. FYI bribing doesn't help kids poop in the toilet. I'm happy to announce that Venna hasn't had an accident since August! The most important thing my parents brought with them from Utah was the payout dress. She doesn't even like to take it off. She's been anticipating its arrival for so long I don't blame her. We did lots of stuff during The Visit. This is Carthage Jail. Venna and Jonah didn't really appreciate the historical site.

This is us making a rope at Nauvoo. Very intriguing. This is Venna using the rope. A missionary man commented on Venna's cowboy boots. Venna quickly corrected the guy and told him they were cowgirl boots. Don't mess with her.
Venna is always looking for a sucker to take her to "Dairy Queens." She saw my dad coming. So here we are at Dairy Queen. Jonah was being so funny that day.
Here he is trying to get at Venna's ice cream.
Here he is on the table trying to get Venna's ice cream again.
We did other stuff during The Visit. Like...drove to Nauvoo for stake conference on Sunday, went to Wal-mart, my dad taught me the fine art of antiquing, my mom spent a lot of time reading to Venna, and we celebrated...
Venna's 4th birthday! What a princess. These are her pink cupcakes. Her tiara lit up until it broke. (Yes, Mom, the second one broke, too.)

Every party needs these party things. Whatever they are, they have princesses on them, and that's why she needed them.
Opening a present.

What was in that present? A baby doll and all the accessories you could ever need to take care of it. Venna also got this cute outfit. She says she looks like Hannah Montana in it.

Thanks for coming, Mom and Dad. We've been waiting forever for your visit, and we weren't disappointed. It was indeed the party we were expecting.

I LOVED your parents! I'm glad that we were included in the festivities-thank you. And could that plate of cupcakes look any yummier (is that word?)? I think not! What an awesome time...especially going to Walmart, something I didn't do with my parents :(
