updates + a little Christmas

Merry Christmas!
Tucker spent the month of December attempting to bring down the Christmas tree. He succeeded in pulling it over once.
Now he army crawls at an alarming speed to get where life is more exciting than the middle of the living room floor. "Exciting" places include under the table, Venna's room, the bathroom, and the cat door leading into the garage.
Tucker loves his vegetables. He laughs. He plays. He growls back at you. He's still pretty perfect.
Jonah has discovered his groove. I often find him dancing Last Airbender style when he thinks no one is looking. He loves being read to. He incorporates quotes from his favorite books into everyday conversation. It made me laugh when he said, "Keep your elbows off the table." That's from a book he can relate to called No, David. Of course, he is also attracted to all things violent. Thanks for the volcano, Jill S.!
Here he is modeling a Santa beard he made at preschool. He LOVES preschool, and wishes he could go everyday. Maybe next time he'll wear clothes to school. He asks to be dropped off. This breaks my heart, but sometimes I do. Picture in your mind little Jonah wearing a big puffy coat and a backpack bigger than him running up the stairs, ringing the doorbell, and being greeted by one of his besties.
Sunbeams. Can you believe Jonah is old enough to be a sunbeam?! He is so excited to be a big boy. He thought going to primary meant a chance to talk into the microphone. When he finally got his chance he spoke clearly and with so much confidence I couldn't help but smile. I was worried how Jonah would act, but he works really hard to be reverent and even participates! It doesn't hurt that Josh is his teacher and can give him a good smack when he gets out of line.
This is Venna Christmas morning. She was so conflicted over the validity of Santa Claus this year. I just let her think on it and never told her one way or the other. Even though she didn't know who exactly brought the presents she still enjoyed them.
A little while ago Venna became obsessed with the piano. She would wake up in the morning and sit down at the piano. She would get home from school and go straight to the piano. We bought her a book, and she loves to have "piano lessons."
She likes to make 'crazy' eyes, too.
"Santa" brought Venna a desk for Christmas. We thought this would move the gigantic messes she makes from the kitchen table to her room. Although she loves her desk, she still uses the table. She wants to be where everyone else is.
Venna was made for kindergarten. She comes home happy everyday. She loves writing stories and is on her way to being a great reader.
Jonah and I went to eat lunch with Venna one day in December. The kids sitting across from us called Venna out on a lie. The told her that they had seen Audrey's (Venna's pal's) mom and now they had seen her mom. Venna and Audrey were definitely not twins. Funny.
Our big girl lost her first tooth. She let it get so loose that it just fell right out while she was watching TV. Now she loves updating everyone on the status of her new tooth.
