Venna turned 5 (almost a month ago). We talked about her birthday everyday for about 6 months prior to the actual day. The most important thing about a birthday is the party. She planned, invited, and uninvited months in advance.
Venna requested a castle cake. I didn't know how to decorate it without making it lame so I let the kids decorate it. That was the best idea I had all day. The kids loved it and it took up loads of time!
Venna was very interested to see what her friends would bring in the way of gifts. She was not disappointed one bit. (You can see Venna had a wardrobe change mid party-very fancy.)
After sugar and games all the princesses, the ninja, and the dragon settled down to watch a movie. She's already anticipating 6. She'll be 26 before she knows it.
