This is our apartment complex. Do you notice the huge space between GOLDEN and APTS? It used to say "Golden Age Apts." Then all the old assisted living people moved out, Curtis bought the place, took off "age", and started renting to poor people for a very low price. (The old people smell returns during really hot summer days.)

This is the hot water heater that stopped working yesterday morning. It heated the old people's water just fine I'm sure. It doesn't do such a great job for us. Atleast once a year we don't have hot water or heat because this beast goes on the fritz.

These are some scary pipes that are connected to the hot water heater. These pipes bang and clang whenever anyone turns on or off the water in all of the surrounding apartments.

These are the treacherous stairs that lead to the pipes and hot water heater. I never go down here at night. You're lucky I summoned the courage to go down there during the day to document our crappy situation. Everytime I do go down here I have a creepy feeling that I'm going to find a homeless person or a dead homeless person.
Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful we can live in the cheapest apartment EVER,
BUT I can't wait to move!

You must be really hard up to have something new to put on your blog! :)
I'll give you something to blog about!!
I am glad you put this on your blog. Who knew you live in a retirement center!
Do you want us all to feel sorry for you. We all went through the same thing. I am so glad I don't have pictures of the apartment we lived in here while we were waiting for our house to get finished. Cockroaches and gunshots are worse than clanging pipes. The darkest 6 months of my life. 2 Bedrooms 3 kids.
Uggg...apartment living sucks! I can't live without hot water. I'll feel sorry for you Megan. I live in a crappy place too. It's righ on a huge, busy road and all I hear all day are freaking sirens that wake Jocelyn up from all her naps---SUCKS!
please add a "t" to right.
